In this case we speak of Circular Fashion.

Linear Fashion also known as Fast Fashion means to: Produce - Use – Dispose.

Basically it is produced to be disposed in landfills after a small life span.

Circular Fashion zielt darauf ab, dass das Produkt langlebig ist. Im Idealfall kann es am Ende seines Lebenszyklus recycelt werden, damit daraus etwas Neues entsteht. Man spricht hier von Produzieren – Benutzen – Reparieren/ Upcyclen/ Recyclen/ Kompostieren – Produzieren und so weiter.
Ein Kleidungsstück verweilt länger in der Kreislaufwirtschaft, wenn es von entsprechender Qualität ist und lange getragen und/oder repariert werden kann. Deshalb ist relevant, dass Kleidungsstücke gepflegt werden, so halten sie auch länger.
Weiterhin ist es wichtig, dass kompostierbare und recycelbare Materialien verwendet werden.
Aus ökologischer Sicht ist es bedeutend, dass das Kleidungsstück so hergestellt wird, dass es recycelt oder upcycelt werden kann.
